Fall is my absolute favorite season; I love how entertaining moves away from backyard barbecues and becomes more about intimate dinner parties around the dining room table. I’m a firm believer in bringing something special for the hostess, and a bottle of La Crema is always my go-to gift. For Fall I’m a big fan of gifting Pinot Gris; it’s notes of pineapple and ripe pear, pair perfectly with seasonal pumpkin and turkey dishes.
Last week I came across an awesome sale on burlap wine bottle bags at Jo-Ann Fabric ($1.99 each!), and I stocked up to make my gifts more personal. It only takes 10 minutes and a couple dollars to dress your bottle in an occasion-appropriate bag. Watch the video below to find out how!
- Burlap wine bags
- Fabric paint or fabric markers
- Sponge applicator (optional)
- Stencils (unless you want to go free-hand)
- Your favorite bottle of La Crema
- Screw eyes
- Bottle cork
I hope you enjoyed the tutorial! You’ll notice that I used black paint on all of my bags- and that’s because I’m a big believer in using what you have around the house. I encourage you to snoop through your craft drawers and get creative! Tag @TeeWiiOnline and @LaCremaWines in your wine bag photos on Instagram so we can see your finished product. Happy crafting!
