A couple weekends ago we celebrated my future sister-in-law, with a beautiful bridal shower in Dana Point. My mom and I were responsible for the favors and cake, and I just loved how both turned out! Here are the adorable details…
My brother and his fiance are getting married in Maui, so I thought pineapple cookies in her colors would be such a cute favor! I bought this cookie cutter, and although I had high hopes of doing them myself, I had them made at Sugar From The Heart Bakery in Lakewood.
I made these really cute ombre tags to go with the cake. They were custom printables from INKK Print and I used my label punch to cut them out. “Wendy’s Getting Maui’d”!
They looked so beautiful at each place setting. Wendy’s mom did such a beautiful job planning the menu, venue and choosing the colors- so these were a perfect touch to complete the table.
I have been pinning ombre cakes for a year and hoping that at some point I’d have a reason to make (or in this case order) one. I used Sugar From The Heart for the cake as well, and they did a beautiful job. It tasted as good as it looked, which isn’t always the case.
I ordered the cake topper on Etsy from Blessed Blondies. I thought it was a great way to tie in the gold without having to add gold flake or sprinkles to the simple cake.
The details were almost as gorgeous as the bride-to-be. My little family can’t wait to celebrate in Maui next month!
