Baby Vacation Pack-List (Printable)

The last couple months have been filled with crazy travel for our family. Max took his first flight to a wedding in Maui, followed by two more flights to the Cayman Islands (for an extended 30 day trip)! I’ll admit, I was extremely nervous before each flight; but with lots of preparation and advice from other parents- we did great!

I wanted to share the pack-list I created for our last two trips. Some items may not apply to your trip- but we didn’t find ourselves needing anything in addition to what I listed. The three items that REALLY made the trips easy where the inflatable tub, Go Go Babyz carseat wheeler and Burt’s Bees hand and face cloths! I know it might seem silly to include those wipes, but unlike regular baby wipes you can use them to wipe off anything- which we did…multiple times.

My best advice for a smooth plane ride is to do the same type of cycles you’d do at home. Play, rest and eat. I use the term “rest” instead of sleep because you just can’t will a baby to sleep in an environment as new as a plane…and you won’t DARE push the issue if they’re not crying. My mom went to Tuesday Morning and bought a handful of little teethers and toys for Max that he had never seen. I pulled those suckers out one by one every time things seemed like they might be going south and it totally worked. I’ll tell you what everyone told me: It will be fine! And if the baby cries, people will understand. Happy travels!
