Easy Kids Magnet Board

My son loves drawing and creating! I have an entire wall dedicated to the kids art in the playroom, but I really wanted to give him a special spot in his own room to showcase the things that make him feel good. We all want to be surrounded in things that make us happy!

I found these memo boards at Ikea, and thought the metal would go perfectly with the industrial look of his furniture! Here’s what I did (legit a 30 min project including dry time):

The boards come in white. They’re sold separately for $9.99 each.

I hit them with some of this Rust-Oleum spray paint which I love! I used it in Max’s nursery way-back-when to make his hardware consistent. The Oil Rubbed Bronze finish is SO nice!

If you’re going to spray these, just keep in mind, you’re gonna want to get those inside edges.

These have only been up a few days, and they’re already completely filled. It’s such a fun way to let your child (big or little) curate a space that’s meaningful to them.
