Tatcha Beauty Review

I never heard of Tatcha beauty products until I received a press release that their cult favorites were “now available in travel size”. I headed over to the website and was intrigued with the creator, Victoria Tsai’s story (you can read about what inspired the brand here).

I promptly requested samples of the Rice Enzyme Powder, Camellia Beauty Oil and Aburatorigami Japanese Beauty Papers, and I’ve been hooked ever since! I started using the products on a trip to the Cayman Islands and never looked back.

My absolute favorite product has to be the Camellia Beauty Oil. Let me start by saying, it’s the most beautiful packaging you will ever see. You can use this light oil for dry spots on the face (I actually love it on my brows), to add a soft highlight to your cheeks, in your hair or to add the most beautiful shine to your body (lightly rub across collar bones for a stunning chest).

The Bamboo and Green Tea fragrances are heavenly and  24-karat gold flakes (you read that right) give your skin a gorgeous glow. This little bottle will last you forever, so it’s well worth the price.

I was a little confused by the Rice Enzyme Powder at first; when I think of “exfoliants” I think of something with a harsh consistency. Well, after speaking to my friend who’s an esthetician I now understand that abrasive face products are one of the worst things you can use on your skin. She said she would only let her clients use the scrub I was using on my face on their feet! Whoops.

The Rice Enzyme Powder is a creamy, water-activated enzyme powder exfoliant and cleanser of Rice Bran, papaya enzymes and anti-aging HADASEI-3™. It releases debris from the skin for a polished, natural gleam and baby-soft skin in an instant. It conditions without using harsh abrasives (those things I’ll now be using on my feet).

The beauty papers are a no-brainer. Like I mentioned, I traveled with these products to the Cayman Islands, where the humidity was insane! I loved using them on my chin and between my brows. Two things I really liked about these papers in particular are the fact that they leave your makeup completely intact, and the packaging is perfect for your purse.

I could go on and on about this product line. Since trying the products above I’ve also gotten hooked on the Dewy Skin Mist, Deep Brightening Serum and Nourishing Lip Balm. Every product is such amazing quality, beautifully packaged and goes a LONG way! Definitely check them out: www.tatcha.com and also available at Sephora.

If you’re on the fence about buying full size, load up on the travel sized products for the Summer- you won’t regret it!
